Covid 19 Practice Update 15.05.2020 – ” a measured return to routine work”

As we all adjust to the “new normal” of living and working with coronavirus, we are constantly keeping our procedures under review. We are very grateful to all our clients who have worked with us over the last few weeks, during which we have seen a lot of changes in guidance from equestrian and veterinary bodies.

Undoubtedly, we will be working with social distancing for the foreseeable future and, as workers who travel around visiting different clients, it is very important for us to maintain this, not only to protect ourselves but also to protect the health of our clients, their families and the public. We have already found many new ways of working safely and this will be our new focus in the next few weeks as we face different situations.

We anticipate a measured return to routine work (including dental work and pre-purchase examinations) next week but please be aware that in every case the team will work with you to check that the appropriate safeguards are in place by carrying out a risk assessment before we confirm the visit.

We are aware that some of our clients (and their families) may be more vulnerable and self-isolating/shielding. If you are in this category and have any concerns, please share them with us and we will endeavour to work with you as best we can to ensure our visit is safe for everyone concerned.

Clearly if you have any concerns about anyone in your household showing symptoms of Covid 19 please let us know immediately- before, during and after the visit!

We remain dedicated to working with you to find new ways of safely looking after our patients, as we all move together into the next chapter of this challenging era.
